HSSC 106: Colourblocking?

I am not sure that I have done colourblocking before.  I don't really think that my last post qualifies as colourblocking because I didn't stamp a design within the block of colour, which as far as I can gauge is the idea.

That is, if there is any stamping. Designs based on blocks of colour alone would also be considered colourblocking.

In order to play along in this week's Hand Stamped Sentiment Challenge and try my hand at a "new" (for me anyways) technique, I made an attempt at colourblocking.

Stamps: Sweet Summer, One of a Kind, So Happy For You
Ink: Dusty Durango, Basic Grey, Baja Breeze, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black
Tools: MDS, Square punch

If I've totally missed the boat, feel free to tell me so. I'm open to learning here...and would appreciate any tips!

Thanks for checking out my post!
May you attempt something fun and new today, even if you're not too sure how it all works yet  : )
